E. Marco Stirone

E. Marco Stirone was President of the New Jersey Institute of Municipal Attorneys (now NJILGA) in 1954.   He was a Partner of Stirone, Fein, Kahn, Shepard & Day, specializing in Municipal Law, Zoning and Planning and other matters.  He was born in 1906 in Morristown, received his undergraduate degree from New York University and received his LLB from Fordham University in 1929.  He was admitted to the Bar in 1930 for New Jersey and the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey.  He practiced law for 65 years, retiring in 1995 at the age of 89.  He was Attorney for the Borough of Victory Gardens, 1951-1963, Town of Morristown, 1955-1964 and the Borough of Wharton, 1956-1957.  He was Mayor of the Town of Morristown, 1965-1966.  He was a United States Commissioner for the Fifth District, 1951-1961, Chairman of the Morris County Tax Board and a member of many civic, fraternal, religious and service organizations in Morris County.  He was a member of the Morris County, New Jersey State, and American Bar Associations, as well as NJILGA.  He appears as attorney of record in numerous reported State and Federal court cases.
